A viral moment at a Coldplay concert involving Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and HR chief Kristin Cabot sparked widespread speculation, and a response from KFC.
The fast-food chain joined the conversation with a single-line post that quickly gained traction.
“Just know our sides are always HR approved,” KFC tweeted.

Though the post came after earlier reactions from brands like Chipotle, Netflix, and StubHub, KFC’s comment drew over 675,000 views within hours.
The response was widely shared across social media, with users calling it everything from “savage” to “the best troll of the day.”
One joked, “Apologies KFC, I was not familiar with your game,” while another added, “Never deleting this app.”
The original clip from the concert showed Byron and Cabot on the kiss cam, where Byron appeared visibly uncomfortable.
In response to growing attention, Astronomer placed both individuals on administrative leave and confirmed that a formal investigation was underway.
“The Board of Directors has initiated a formal investigation into this matter,” the company stated, “and we will have additional details to share very shortly.”
While public opinion remains mixed, KFC’s post is another example of how major brands increasingly respond to viral moments in real time.
