Manchester United agree £71 million deal with Brentford for Bryan Mbeumo
Manchester United have reached an agreement with Brentford for the transfer of Bryan Mbeumo, with the deal reportedly worth upto £71 million altogether.
The Cameroon international could undergo his medical at Old Trafford before joining the squad for their pre-season tour of the United States, which is set to depart on Tuesday, 22 July.
Mbeumo, 25, is poised to become United's third signing of the summer, following the arrivals of forward Matheus Cunha and left-back Diego Leon. United initially bid £55 million in early June, followed by a second offer of £62.5 million, both of which were rejected.
However, Brentford have now accepted the latest bid, which is £65 million guaranteed along with £6 million in add-ons, as per The Athletic's David Ornstein.

Since joining Brentford from Lorient in 2019, Mbeumo has established himself as one of the Premier League’s most promising attacking talents.
His career-best figures last season included top performances in goals, assists, chances created, and touches in the opposition box. He finished the season with an impressive shot conversion rate of 23.53%, ranking just behind Mohamed Salah and Alexander Isak in clinical finishing.
Mbeumo’s work off the ball is also notable. He won possession 32 times in the opposition third, ranking third among Premier League players.
Perhaps most impressive, however, was his ability to drive forward with the ball. He was responsible for nine carries of over five metres that directly resulted in goals, the highest number of any Premier League player last season, as reported by BBC.
With a system focused on high pressing, United's new manager Ruben Amorim appears to be confident that Mbeumo’s work rate, versatility, and goal-scoring ability will make him a valuable player in the upcoming campaign.
