Actress Denise Richards has been granted a temporary domestic violence restraining order against her estranged husband, Aaron Phypers, following serious allegations of abuse.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ and Page Six, Richards, 54, accused Phypers, 52, of multiple violent incidents throughout their six-year marriage, including physical assault and threats to kill her if she ever contacted the police.

Richards alleges that during their relationship, Phypers would frequently choke her, squeeze her head and arms, slap her face, and slam her head into household fixtures. She also detailed a disturbing 2022 incident at Phypers' Malibu workplace, where he allegedly became paranoid that potted plants were bugged with listening devices. During the altercation, Richards claims Phypers struck her in the eye and called her a 'f–king b–ch'. She included photos of her bruised face in the legal filings.

In another alleged incident, Richards said Phypers violently attacked her after she suggested he not accompany her on a work trip. She claims he grabbed her by the hair, slammed her to the ground, and screamed that he would not let her travel alone.

Phypers has denied the accusations, telling Us Weekly the claims are “not true” and “conjured up,” adding, “I have the real evidence.” He has been ordered to remain at least 100 yards away from Richards and her property, including her home and car. A hearing on the restraining order is scheduled for August 8.

The allegations surfaced just days after Phypers filed for divorce on July 7, citing “irreconcilable differences” and listing their separation date as July 4. He also requested spousal support, claiming he has had no income since closing his healing center in Malibu last year, while alleging Richards earns over $250,000 per month from her media ventures.

Richards and Phypers began dating in 2017 and married in a private ceremony in Malibu in September 2018. Their relationship was documented on the reality series Denise Richards & Her Wild Things. Despite publicly vowing not to divorce again, Richards now faces a legal battle marked by troubling allegations and emotional fallout.
