Sydney Sweeney’s Euphoria performance gets praise from boyfriend Scooter Braun
Scooter Braun praises Sydney Sweeney’s Euphoria role and opens up about their surprise romance and relationship now

Scooter Braun has publicly praised Sydney Sweeney’s performance in HBO’s Euphoria while also speaking for the first time about their relationship, describing it as a “surprise romance.”
Appearing on the “Second Thought” podcast hosted by Suzy Weiss, Braun said he has been watching the series and admiring Sweeney’s work. “I am catching it. I’m biased, I like it,” he said, adding that there has been “an incredible performance by a certain actress.”
The music executive, 44, went on to praise Sweeney, 28, calling her “extraordinary,” “kind,” “generous,” and “down to earth.” He said their relationship came as “one of the biggest surprises ever,” marking his first public comments since the couple went Instagram official.
Braun and Sweeney reportedly began dating after meeting at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s wedding in 2025, later confirming their relationship publicly through social media posts earlier this year.
Sweeney has gained attention for her provocative storyline in Euphoria, where her character Cassie is involved in increasingly controversial and explicit scenes in Season 3. Despite the attention, Braun said he fully understands the demands of her work and supports her career choices.
Sources previously told Page Six that Braun has “no issue” with Sweeney’s on-screen performances and respects her commitment to her craft. The couple are described as having a “secure relationship” built on trust and mutual support.
Sweeney previously ended her engagement to businessman Jonathan Davino before beginning her relationship with Braun. Braun was previously married to Yael Cohen, with whom he shares three children.
The pair recently made their public debut on social media, sharing photos from the Stagecoach Music Festival 2026, further confirming their relationship status.
