Two labourers killed over legal dispute

Four suspects arrested, police launch investigation

Two men were shot dead and three others injured when assailants opened fire over a legal feud in Roshanwala area. Police have arrested four suspects and registered a case.

According to police reports, the incident took place in Chak No. 244-RB Waseeran within the jurisdiction of Roshanwala Police Station. The attackers, identified as Zafar Iqbal, Shahzaib, Basra, Ehsanullah, and Manak Sher, allegedly targeted five labourers who were returning home from work.

The victims, 18-year-old Lashkar Ali, 30-year-old Allah Ditta, Niaz, Muhammad Mustafa, and Farooq were injured in the attack. All were shifted to a nearby hospital, where Lashkar Ali and Allah Ditta succumbed to their injuries.

Upon receiving the report, senior police officers arrived at the scene. The bodies of the deceased were taken into custody and later handed over to their families after post-mortem. Four suspects, Asmatullah, Manak, Zafar, and Kashif were arrested from the scene, and investigations are underway.

Police confirmed that a prior legal case (FIR No. 909/25) existed between the two parties, and previous preventive measures had been taken. However, the dispute escalated into violence, leading to the double murder.

Based on a statement by Aslam Ali, the brother of deceased Lashkar Ali, police have registered a case under sections 302, 148, and 149 of the Pakistan Penal Code against the named suspects.
