Epic Games has taken legal action against two Fortnite players for cheating and carrying out DDoS attacks, requiring them to post public apologies and banning them from playing the game. The move was announced by Epic Games on July 14 in a post on X.

According to the post, one of the users sold and used cheats, while the other carried out DDoS attacks on content creators who were livestreaming Fortnite. Epic Games stated, “Both have been ordered to stop these activities and are banned from playing Fortnite.”
As part of the legal outcome, the players were required to post apologies on their social media accounts. One of the individuals, named Zebsi, admitted to carrying out DDoS attacks and said, “I regret my actions and will not be involved in any more DDoS attacks.” The apology referenced the “harm and damage” caused to streamers, other players, and Epic Games.
The other individual, known as Mirrored, admitted to cheating in tournaments and distributing cheat software. In his apology, Mirrored stated, “I’ll face legal action if I sell or distribute cheats again.” His post gained over 1.5 million views on X and drew reactions from users and groups, including the Anti-cheat Police Department.
This follows previous legal action by Epic Games in June, where a cheater was ordered to pay $175,000 in damages. Epic Games continues to enforce strict measures against cheating and cyber attacks within Fortnite.
