Dax Shepard posts playful photo of Kristen Bell to mark Emmy nomination

Actor and podcast host Dax Shepard posted a playful, nearly-nude photo of his wife, actress Kristen Bell, to Instagram following her nomination for Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series at the 2025 Emmy Awards.

Bell, 44, was captured in a backyard photo performing a downward dog stretch while wearing only bright-blue knee-high socks.

The nomination honors Bell’s performance as Joanne in Netflix’s romantic comedy series Nobody Wants This.

Shepard and Bell, who have been married since 2013, continue to publicly support one another’s work and frequently share lighthearted glimpses into their personal lives.

The couple shares two daughters, ages 9 and 11.

Following the announcement, Bell also posted her reaction on social media, sharing a screenshot of the moment she learned the news during a surprise Zoom call with series creator Erin Foster. She expressed joy at both her own recognition and Foster’s nomination for the show.

Bell’s co-star Adam Brody was also nominated for Outstanding Actor in a Comedy Series, making the show one of the notable multi-nominee entries in this year’s comedy category.
