Court bars govt from action against citizen in land case

The Sindh High Court (SHC) has made any action against the petitioner in 15-acre land lease dispute conditional until the final judgment is announced. The case pertains to a petition filed by a private company challenging the cancellation of a 99-year residential and commercial lease in Deh Gujro, Gulshan-e-Iqbal.

During the hearing, the petitioner's counsel argued that the amended lease agreement was executed in favour of the applicants and that the revenue department had initiated cancellation proceedings with mala fide intent.
