Britney Spears left fans both puzzled and amused over the weekend after claiming in an Instagram post that she has adopted a baby girl named Lennon London Spears. The announcement, which appeared alongside one of her signature home dance videos, quickly drew skepticism and speculation online.

The 43-year-old pop icon shared the post on Sunday, writing, “I adopted a beautiful baby girl 😉😉😉 !!! Her name is Lennon London Spears 🤪🤪🤪,” while dancing in a pink monokini and boots. She added that the child was wearing a dress with the words “I’m NEW HERE !!!” Though Spears turned off comments on the post, reactions on other platforms suggest many fans believe she was joking.

While some fans initially speculated that Spears may have adopted a pet or a hyper-realistic “reborn” doll, sources told TMZ that the baby carrier spotted in a previous video is used for transporting her dolls.
