Justin Bieber has reached a $31.5 million settlement with former manager Scooter Braun, resolving a financial dispute that stemmed from the cancellation of Bieber’s 2022 Justice tour.

The agreement comes two years after the pair ended their 15-year professional relationship in 2023.

According to sources confirmed by PEOPLE, Bieber, 31, will pay Braun $26 million to cover an advance originally paid by AEG Presents for the canceled tour. Braun’s company, HYBE, had fronted the payment when the tour fell through, expecting reimbursement. Bieber reportedly made only one partial payment before the dispute escalated.

In addition to the tour advance, Bieber will pay another $5.5 million to cover half of $11 million in unpaid commissions Braun was owed. The total $31.5 million settlement closes a major financial chapter between the longtime collaborators.

The news coincided with the announcement of Bieber’s upcoming seventh studio album Swag and the launch of his new fashion brand SKYLRK. It also follows the sale of Bieber’s 291-song catalog to Hipgnosis Songs Capital for $200 million in 2022—a deal rumored to be driven by financial strain, as detailed in a May 2025 documentary.

Bieber and Braun’s relationship had reportedly cooled months before their split, with sources claiming Braun and his team were no longer involved in Bieber’s music production. Braun, who retired from music management in June 2024, later confirmed their parting was amicable, saying, “I completely respect that. I think at this point, that’s what he’s doing.”

With the financial dispute resolved, Bieber is turning a new page both musically and personally.
