Elon Musk confirmed that his company’s Grok AI will soon be integrated into Tesla cars, allowing the electric vehicle giant to keep pace with competitors such as Mercedes-Benz and Volkswagen.
Musk shared the news on X Thursday, saying the rollout of Grok to Tesla cars is expected to happen by next week at the latest.
Grok AI, developed by Musk’s xAI, was recently unveiled during a livestream event, where Musk also introduced Grok 4.
The AI model, part of Musk's broader strategy to challenge tech giants like Google and OpenAI, will now serve as an onboard assistant for Tesla drivers.
Grok is coming to Tesla vehicles very soon. Next week at the latest.

Despite facing controversy surrounding Grok’s recent offensive comments on X, including antisemitic remarks, Musk seems determined to integrate the AI technology into Tesla vehicles.
However, it remains to be seen whether this ambitious rollout can go ahead smoothly.
Tesla owners may also have to pay for access to Grok, with a $30-per-month fee for Grok 4 access via xAI's platform.
Tesla’s web browser, however, will provide users with other AI options like Claude from Anthropic, as well as potential access to Google’s competing browser, which could soon be available.
