Ten people have died after the collapse of a bridge in India's western state of Gujarat, broadcaster NDTV reported on Wednesday.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to X (formerly Twitter) to express his deep sorrow over the tragic bridge collapse. He extended his heartfelt condolences to the families who lost their loved ones and wished for the speedy recovery of the injured.

An ex-gratia of Rs. 2 lakh from PMNRF would be given to the next of kin of each deceased. The…In his post, the Indian Prime Minister also announced an ex-gratia payment of Rs. 2 lakh from the PMNRF for the next of kin of each deceased, and Rs. 50,000 for those injured in the incident.
