In a heartfelt Instagram post on Monday, Green called the incident a “heartbreaking and deeply personal loss” and asked for privacy as the family processes the tragedy.

According to Green’s wife, Kori Green, the singer’s younger brother John, his wife Julia, and two of their children were swept away in the Kerrville flood. “We are heartbroken and anxiously waiting for all of them to be found,” she wrote. The Green family is among dozens still unaccounted for as search and rescue operations continue.

The devastating flash floods, triggered by powerful storms, have resulted in more than 100 fatalities, including 27 children attending a summer camp. Central Texas communities have been left reeling as rescue teams work around the clock.

In response to the unfolding crisis, Pat Green postponed a July 7 concert, citing the tragic events and extreme weather conditions. The new concert date is set for August 16.

The tragedy has sparked an outpouring of support on social media, with fans and fellow Texans offering prayers and condolences. Actor Matthew McConaughey urged followers to help in any way possible, emphasizing, “The shock, the pain, and the chaos need the steady hand of a neighbor.”

With continued flooding threats in the region, emergency services and aid organizations like the Salvation Army remain on the ground, offering 24-hour support to affected residents.
