People catch, torture 'robbers'

Four motorcycle-borne armed robbers looted Rs2.8 million from employees of a chicken dealer in Sindh Society, Scheme 33, within the limits of Sohrab Goth police station.

The employees were transporting the money in a black Vigo when they were intercepted by the robbers. Upon resisting the robbery attempt, the suspects opened fire on the employees, leaving 25-year-old Shahid Jutt injured.

Onlookers surrounded the fleeing suspects, Mumtaz Magsi and Phoro Magsi, and subjected them to a beating, leaving them injured. They were then arrested by police, who recovered firearms and mobile phones from the suspects' possession. The other two accomplices, however, escaped with the stolen cash.

'Robber' shoots accomplice

A robbery attempt on Abul Hassan Isphani Road took an unexpected turn when one of the bandits was accidentally shot by his own accomplice. The injured suspect, Muhammad Alam, was then apprehended by police, while his partner managed to flee.

SHO Mobina Town reported that two armed muggers were attempting to loot a man and woman on a motorcycle, when a local witnessed the crime in progress, and raised alarm. As the suspects fled, a shot was accidentally fired by one of the robbers, hitting his own partner, leaving him injured.
