‘Bounced cheque’: Minister’s son stopped at UAE airport
Was told to report to Jebel Ali police station as there was case against him for bounced cheque.
Authorities in Dubai stopped the son of federal minister Makhdoom Amin Fahim from flying out of the UAE due to a bounced cheque, Gulf News reported on Sunday.
The newspaper said Najeeb was stopped at Dubai airport on Saturday evening. He was told to report to the Jebel Ali police station as there was a case against him for a bounced cheque which he allegedly gave to a free zone authority as part of a business deal.
Najeeb was taken into custody that night but was released later upon the intervention of Pakistan Consulate in Dubai.
