US DOJ and FBI conclude Jeffrey Epstein died by suicide and had no client list

DOJ and FBI memo confirms Epstein’s suicide, denies existence of client list or blackmail evidence after 2019 death.

The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) have concluded that Jeffrey Epstein died by suicide and did not maintain an alleged “client list” of powerful individuals, according to a memo reported by Axios.

The two-page document, obtained by the U.S. news outlet, outlines the findings of the DOJ and FBI regarding Epstein’s 2019 death at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Manhattan. It states there is no credible evidence that Epstein blackmailed public figures, no client list was found, and no basis exists for further investigations into uncharged individuals.

The Trump administration has also released both raw and enhanced video footage from the night of Epstein’s death. The footage, reviewed by Axios but not independently verified, reportedly shows that no one entered the restricted area near Epstein’s cell between 10:40 p.m. on August 9 and 6:30 a.m. on August 10, when he was found unresponsive.

The FBI enhanced the footage to improve contrast, color balance, and sharpness, aiming to increase clarity. According to the memo, this supports the New York City medical examiner’s conclusion that Epstein died by suicide.

Alongside the video release, the DOJ stated that no additional Epstein-related charges will be filed. Officials noted that further disclosure of case materials would be inappropriate, citing the sensitive nature of the evidence, the involvement of minors, and the risk of falsely implicating innocent individuals.

Epstein’s associate, Ghislaine Maxwell, is currently serving a 20-year sentence for child sex trafficking. Although conspiracy theories around Epstein’s death remain common, FBI Director Kash Patel and Deputy Director Dan Bongino—both of whom had previously questioned the suicide narrative—now support the official findings.
