Love Island USA fans crash voting app after 3.5M votes flood in minutes

Love Island USA fans crash the voting app again after millions attempt to vote during the latest elimination episode.

Love Island USA is seeing record-breaking engagement, with the official voting app crashing due to overwhelming demand.

Following the recent "Stand On Business" challenge, fans were asked to vote for their favorite male and female contestants. Within just six minutes, over one million votes were cast, eventually climbing to 3.5 million total votes—a figure that overwhelmed the app and left many fans struggling to make their voices heard.

The app typically opens for voting at 10 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. PT, an hour after the episode airs, and remains open for two and a half hours. However, as popularity surges, users have reported frequent glitches and crashes, especially during high-stakes voting windows.

To combat these issues, users are advised to close and reopen the app, check for updates, switch between Wi-Fi and cellular data, or move to areas with better signal strength. Unfortunately, Love Island USA only accepts votes through the app, unlike other shows that offer web, text, or phone options.

Since its relaunch in May, the app has drawn 100,000 daily users and reached 5.5 million total downloads. The show itself has racked up over a billion minutes viewed across just nine episodes, becoming a dominant force in streaming rankings.

With each vote influencing eliminations, breakups, and new couples, fans are urged to vote early and stay persistent. New episodes of Love Island USA stream daily at 6 p.m. PT / 9 p.m. ET on Peacock, except Wednesdays.
