Blackpink has officially launched its long-awaited comeback. On Saturday night, the K-pop powerhouse debuted a brand-new track titled “Jump” during the first concert of their ‘Deadline’ world tour at Goyang Sports Complex’s main stadium in Gyeonggi, South Korea.
This performance marks the group’s first time showcasing new music in more than two years, excluding 2023’s ‘The Girls,’ a track featured in their mobile game. ‘Jump’ offers fans a glimpse of what’s next for the quartet as they kick off a globe-spanning tour that promises both nostalgia and surprises.
Earlier in the day, YG Entertainment stoked anticipation by dropping a teaser on social media, featuring a brief audio clip and the cryptic caption, “Ready to Jump?” While no official release date has been announced yet, the live debut suggests the single may drop soon.
The unveiling comes after a relatively quiet period from the group following the release of their second full-length album Born Pink in September 2022. Despite the break, Blackpink’s popularity has remained sky-high, with fans around the world eagerly awaiting new material.
The ‘Deadline’ tour is shaping up to be one of Blackpink’s most ambitious ventures yet. With 31 performances scheduled across 16 major cities, the group is set to reconnect with global audiences through a blend of iconic hits and fresh tracks.
Saturday’s crowd erupted with excitement as Jennie, Jisoo, Rosé, and Lisa brought high energy and sharp choreography to the stage, proving that even after a two-year musical pause, Blackpink hasn’t missed a beat.
