Six held for impersonating police
Sahil Police arrested six young men for impersonating police officers near the Toor Hanif Mosque in DHA Phase VIII. The suspects, all dressed in official police uniforms and riding three motorcycles, were stopped during a routine patrol after their suspicious behaviour caught the attention of patrolling officers.
SHO Sahil Iftikhar Ahmed Arain said that the patrolling team stopped the group and asked them to present their official service cards. When questioned, the individuals failed to produce any identification and eventually admitted they were not actual police officers. They confessed that they had donned the uniforms purely for amusement and were attempting to film TikTok videos to impress viewers and bystanders.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Shehryar Khan, Muhammad Rizwan, Yousuf Khan, Noor Faraz, Muhammad Kashif, and Hammad.
Police recovered three motorcycles from the suspects and registered a case against them under FIR No 25/162. The case has been transferred to the Investigation Police.
