
The Capital Development Authority (CDA) Board has approved a request from Motamar Al-Alam Al-Islami (World Muslim Congress) to return a previously allotted plot in Sector H-8.
According to sources, the board also approved several other matters, including adjustments for maintenance staff transferred from the Public Works Department (PWD) into CDA.
The 12th board meeting, chaired by CDA Chairman and Islamabad Chief Commissioner Muhammad Ali Randhawa, was held at CDA headquarters. Senior CDA board members, Islamabad deputy commissioner, and other officials participated.
During the meeting, agenda items included reviewing transfer fees, registry charges, and stamp duties on urban properties under CDA jurisdiction, rural properties in Islamabad Capital Territory, and private housing societies.
The board resolved to prepare recommendations while adhering to legal requirements.
It was also decided to seek guidance from the establishment division and cabinet division regarding the legal process for adjusting maintenance staff transferred from PWD to CDA.
The board approved a comprehensive feasibility plan to operationalise the Gandhara Heritage and Cultural Centre in F-9 Park at the earliest.
