The Bear has officially been renewed for a fifth season at Hulu, with a premiere date slated for 2026.

The announcement was confirmed by FX and Hulu, following the success of Season 4, which debuted in June 2025.

The Emmy-winning series, created by Christopher Storer and produced by FX, has become a major hit for Hulu since its debut in 2022. FX chairman John Landgraf praised the team behind the show in a statement: “The Bear continues to be a fan favorite worldwide. Their response to this season — as seen through incredibly high viewership — has been as spectacular as any of its previous seasons.”

The Bear stars Jeremy Allen White as Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto, a fine-dining chef who returns to Chicago to run his late brother’s sandwich shop, transforming it into a high-end restaurant. Ayo Edebiri co-stars as Sydney, with Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Richie, Liza Colón-Zayas as Tina, and Lionel Bryce as Marcus. The ensemble cast also includes Abby Elliott, Matty Matheson, and guest stars such as Jamie Lee Curtis, Molly Gordon, Oliver Platt, and Jon Bernthal.

The series has received widespread critical acclaim, earning a total of 21 Emmys across its first two seasons. Season 1 took home 10 Emmys, including Best Comedy Series and acting wins for White, Edebiri, and Moss-Bachrach. Season 2 followed with a record-breaking 11 Emmy wins, including a win for Colón-Zayas.

Season 4’s 10-episode drop continued to draw in strong viewership. With Season 5 now confirmed, fans can look forward to another chapter in the intense, character-driven culinary drama.
