Beyoncé delivered another memorable moment during her Cowboy Carter Tour in Houston when a stage prop malfunctioned mid-performance.
While performing “16 Carriages,” the Grammy Award-winning artist was suspended above the audience in a red floating car when it unexpectedly tilted, causing concern among fans.
As the car shifted, Beyoncé briefly slid in her seat, narrowly avoiding a fall. The 43-year-old artist remained composed and continued singing before calmly signalling to pause the show. Stage crew swiftly responded, safely lowering the car and assisting her back to the stage.
Once back on solid ground, Beyoncé exited briefly before returning to complete the performance. She addressed the incident with grace and humour, telling the audience, “If I ever fall, I know y’all would catch me,” drawing applause and easing the tension.
The performance marked the first of two shows in her hometown, following a successful run through the UK and Europe.
Beyoncé’s Houston return came just days after she concluded the European leg of her tour in France, where she attended the Louis Vuitton show and received a new handbag directly from Pharrell Williams.
