Lauren Sánchez recently married Jeff Bezos in an intimate ceremony in Venice, but the final fitting of her wedding dress held days earlier at a villa outside Milan offered a first glimpse of the gown that would soon make headlines.

The custom Dolce & Gabbana creation featured intricate hand-appliquéd lace and a high neckline, a classic silhouette inspired by 1950s icons. The look marked a shift for Sánchez, who typically opts for more modern styles. “I wanted something timeless that reflects who I am today,” she said.

Despite the excitement, Sánchez kept the dress a secret from Bezos until the big day. “At this point in life, surprises are rare and meaningful,” she noted.

As revealed in Vogue, the Venice celebration included 200 guests, many of them family, with the bride wearing three distinct looks throughout the evening. Following the ceremony, she changed into a corseted gown reminiscent of Rita Hayworth’s glamour, and later into a cocktail dress by Oscar de la Renta adorned with crystals and hand-sewn chain detailing.

Her accessories were just as thoughtful. She wore a pair of Dolce & Gabbana earrings made from four diamonds cut from a single stone, delivered by armoured transport. Her ‘something blue’ was a token from her spaceflight with Blue Origin, tucked into her bouquet as a private memento.
