LAHORE:

An Emirates Airline flight en route from Islamabad to Dubai temporarily entered Indian airspace early Thursday morning due to severe weather conditions, aviation sources confirmed on Friday.

According to airport officials, flight EK-715, which departed from Islamabad around 4:30am, encountered heavy rainfall near Lahore, prompting the pilot to divert the aircraft slightly off its planned course for safety reasons.

The plane veered over Sialkot and Narowal, inadvertently entering Indian airspace near Amritsar due to limited visibility and stormy weather.
