Katy Perry is committed to maintaining a peaceful and respectful co-parenting relationship with Orlando Bloom following their recent separation.

The couple, who share a 4-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove, officially split on June 26, 2025, after a nine-year relationship and a long engagement.

A source close to the singer told PEOPLE that Perry, 40, remains focused on putting Daisy first. “Katy has every intention of maintaining a positive and respectful relationship with Orlando. He's the father of their daughter and that will always come first for her,” the source said.

Despite the end of their engagement, there is still mutual respect between the pop star and the Lord of the Rings actor, 48. The source added, “They’re still very much in touch and co-parenting Daisy together. For the sake of their daughter, they're committed to keeping things amicable.”

Reports of tension between Perry and Bloom had circulated in recent months, with insiders suggesting their relationship had been “breaking down” for some time.

Bloom recently spent quality time with Daisy in Australia while Perry was performing on her Lifetimes tour. Another source noted, “They had special dad and daughter time. Orlando looked like a very caring dad.”

The former couple began dating in 2016, became engaged on Valentine’s Day 2019, and welcomed Daisy in August 2020. Perry previously described motherhood as “the best in the world” and a “game-changer.”

Despite the split, Perry is determined to provide a stable and loving environment for Daisy.
