Days old body found hanging from ceiling fan

A decomposed body of a 38-year-old man was found hanging from a ceiling fan in a flat at Saddiq Plaza, Unit No. 8, under A-Section police's jurisdiction. The man, Usman Raza Khan alias Maan, was discovered after neighbours reported a stench emanating from the locked flat. Police broke down the door and found the body with hands bound with cloth and feet resting on a single-seater sofa directly beneath the fan.

The body was shifted to Civil Hospital for postmortem. According to police, Usman's father, Hussain Raza, claimed his son was a drug addict and had a history of domestic violence. His wife had left him and taken their child, while the family had also distanced themselves. Usman lived alone and had reportedly sold household items to fund his addiction. While the father suspects suicide, police say the tied hands raise doubts, prompting an investigation to rule out foul play.
