Gas pipeline blown up in Lakki Marwat

LAKKI MARWAT:

Unidentified terrorists targeted the main gas pipeline of the Bettani Gas Field in Lakki Marwat district, destroying it with explosives in an attack carried out in the Torwah stream area. The blast not only caused the loss of valuable natural resources but also posed a renewed threat to peace and development in the region.

According to police, evidence was collected from the site and an investigation is underway.

In a separate incident, tensions escalated in the district following an exchange of gunfire between members of the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and local residents in the Pehar Khel area. In retaliation, militants reportedly set fire to the house of a local villager.

Sources said the Taliban attacked the residence of a man named Raziq in Pehar Khel Pakka at around midnight, torching a guest room.
