The deputy director of Finance and Accountant at Lyari's Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University (BBSUL) Abdul Rashid Mullah has been terminated on allegations of misconduct, especially harassment.
The university's inquiry committee made this decision after a thorough investigation into complaints filed by female students. The committee's findings showed that the deputy director's conduct was deemed unethical, triggering his dismissal from the university.
In a statement released by the university's administration, officials reiterated their commitment to safeguarding the welfare of students and staff, affirming that any allegations of misconduct would be treated with utmost seriousness. In January, the same deputy director had also been suspended by the Sindh Assembly's Public Accounts Committee (PAC) due to his failure to furnish required audit records. The PAC had also called for an investigation into his alleged involvement in a harassment case.
