11 senior officers reshuffled
The Punjab government has carried out a bureaucratic reshuffle, transferring and appointing 11 senior officers to important positions in various departments.
Captain (retired) Asad Ullah Khan, previously awaiting posting, has been appointed Secretary of the Public Prosecution Department.
Saqib Ali Ateel, formerly secretary of livestock and dairy development, will now serve as a Member of the Chief Minister's Inspection Team. Ahmad Aziz Tarar, who held the position of secretary for public-private partnership, has been posted as Secretary of Livestock and Dairy Development.
Saman Rai, previously director general of the population welfare department, has been appointed Commissioner of the Punjab Overseas Pakistanis Commission. Waqar Azam, managing director of the Punjab Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA), has been transferred as Special Secretary for Housing and Urban Development. His position at PPRA will be filled by Sahibzada Waseem Umar, who was serving as special secretary for industries, commerce and investment. Ahmer Naik, additional secretary in the Chief Minister's Office, has been posted as Director General of the Punjab Overseas Pakistanis Commission.
Mansoor Ahmad, who earlier served as DG of mines and minerals, has been appointed DG of the Parks and Horticulture Authority. Khalid Parvez, additional secretary for health and population welfare, has been posted as DG of the Population Welfare Department.
Hina Rasheed, deputy secretary (Establishment) in S&GAD, has been promoted as Additional Secretary in the Population Welfare Department, while Ansar Inayat has been appointed Additional Secretary.
