46 Malir Jail escapees remanded to judicial custody

An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) has ordered 46 inmates to be sent to jail on judicial remand in connection with the Malir jailbreak and terrorism cases.

The court rejected the investigating officer's plea for physical remand, ordering that the suspects be sent to jail on judicial remand. The court observed that no valid reason was presented to justify handing over the suspects to police custody.
