The provincial high court of Sindh (SHC) on Saturday suspended the decision of a tribunal which in April reinstated thousands of employees of the state-owned Pakistan Steel Mills (PSM).
In a major development, the Sindh Labour Appellate Tribunal on April 17 overturned a previous ruling of a labour court and ordered the reinstatement of 5,744 PSM employees.
The PSM administration had terminated the employees, a decision upheld by a labour court on February 22. However, the affected workers
filed appeals.
