Iran launched a salvo of missile strikes on Israeli military sites in Tel Aviv, including the IDF headquarters, in retaliation for Israeli airstrikes on Iran's nuclear facilities and military leaders.

The barrage of missiles breached Israel's Iron Dome defence system, causing explosions and damage in central Tel Aviv.

At least one person was killed, and over 60 others were injured, including several critically. Rescue operations are ongoing, with emergency services working to assist those affected.

The Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) had previously warned that their attacks on Tehran could last up to two weeks, targeting key Iranian military and nuclear sites.

In response, Iran vowed "painful revenge," with Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei warning of "severe punishment" for Israel.
