Work on Lodhran's first dual carriageway resumes

Multan Division Commissioner Amir Khattak conducted a visit to Lodhran on Tuesday, with a key focus on inspecting the under-construction 35-kilometre Lodhran-Kehror Pakka dual carriageway road project.

The commissioner directed authorities to accelerate the remaining work and ensure strict quality control.

Beginning his visit with a detailed review of the dual carriageway project, Commissioner Khattak instructed the Executive Engineer (XEN) Highways to complete the remaining stretch without delay.

He stressed that quality materials must be used, directing that all construction materials undergo lab testing at the C&W Laboratory in Multan to ensure compliance with standards.

Briefed on-site by the highways department, the Commissioner reiterated the government's priority to enhance travel facilities for the public through timely and durable development projects.

During the visit, the commissioner was accompanied by Lodhran Deputy Commissioner Dr Lubna Nazir, Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue Syed Waseem Hassan, Assistant Commissioner Kehror Pakka Ashraf Saleh and Assistant Commissioner Erum Shahzadi.
