ISLAMABAD:

The people observed World Day against Child Labour on 12th June (Thursday) worldwide, including in Pakistan, by focusing on building a world free of child labour.

Child labour refers to the employment of children in work that deprives them of their childhood, education and potential, often leading to serious harm to their physical and mental development.

In Pakistan, child labour remains a persistent issue, particularly in sectors like agriculture, domestic work, brick kilns, and informal industries, despite ongoing efforts to curb it.
