NAB to oppose Imran, Bushra's plea in IHC

ISLAMABAD:

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) will send a five-strong prosecution team to oppose the application of PTI founder Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, for suspension of their sentences in the £190 million case in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) this week.

The IHC has scheduled a separate appeal for suspension of the sentence on June 5. For the hearing, NAB formed a five-prosecutor special team, led by Sardar Muzaffar Ahmed Khan. Other members include Irfan Ahmed, Sohail Arif, Rafi Maqsood and Yasir Saleem Rana.

According to Express News, the special team has been formed on the direction of NAB Prosecutor General Syed Ehtesham Qadir Shah.
