Randy White, the husband of country music icon Lorrie Morgan, has died at the age of 72 following a battle with mouth cancer.
The news was confirmed on June 1, 2025, in a statement released by Morgan’s longtime friend and manager, Tony Conway.
White, a retired entrepreneur and landscaping business owner, was diagnosed with mouth cancer in April 2024. His condition worsened in early 2025, prompting Morgan to cancel her scheduled performances to care for him. He passed away in the early morning hours of June 1.
In a heartfelt statement, Morgan said, “Randy has been my partner and my rock for 17 years. Our big, wonderful family and I are devastated at the loss of this truly kind and incredible man. I was blessed by his love. Ran-Ran, I will love and miss you forever.”
White and Morgan were married in a private beachside ceremony in September 2010. Together, they blended their families, sharing Morgan’s two children and White’s four, as well as 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Jesse Keith Whitley, Morgan’s son and a country singer himself, paid tribute to White on Facebook. “This great man has been here and loved my mom, and also me and my sister as though we were his own,” he wrote.
Born on May 15, 1953, White was a graduate of Hendersonville High School and studied at Volunteer State Community College. He lived a quiet life out of the spotlight, fully supporting Morgan’s country music career.
Morgan had previously been married to fellow country star Keith Whitley, who died in 1989. White remained a pillar in her life for nearly 15 years until his passing.
