Tinder CEO Faye Iosotaluno announced she will step down in July 2025 after less than two years in the role.
Iosotaluno, who has been with Tinder and its parent company Match Group for nearly eight years, cited a desire to support and build alongside the next generation of women leaders, founders, and investors as the motivation for her departure.
Match Group CEO Spencer Rascoff, who took over in February 2025, will temporarily lead Tinder during this transition.
(1/2) Professional update: I’m excited to join Match Group as its new CEO.
I've helped create category leaders in online real estate (Zillow) & travel (Hotwire). Now, I'm focused on the most important category: human connection. pic.twitter.com/IA5Dec1QUI— Spencer Rascoff (@spencerrascoff) February 4, 2025
Rascoff has been implementing a turnaround strategy that includes a 13% workforce reduction and a focus on product innovation, such as AI-driven features and double-dating options, to address declining user engagement and a reported 15% drop in paying users during the first quarter of 2025.
Iosotaluno's departure marks the latest in a series of leadership changes at Match Group, which also owns Hinge, OkCupid, and Plenty of Fish.
The company has faced pressure from activist investors like Elliott Management, Starboard Value, and Anson Funds, who have pushed for operational changes amid declining user engagement and increased competition from platforms like Bumble.
As Match Group navigates these challenges, Rascoff's leadership will be crucial in steering the company's dating apps toward renewed growth and user trust.
