Kim Kardashian has officially completed her legal studies, graduating from California's Law Office Study Program after six years of hard work.
The 44-year-old reality TV star celebrated her achievement on May 21, 2025, with a backyard graduation ceremony attended by close friends, family, and mentors.
Kardashian enrolled in the unconventional law program in 2018, which allows aspiring attorneys to apprentice with a licensed lawyer instead of attending a traditional law school. Her journey, originally intended to take four years, was extended due to the pandemic and professional commitments.
During the ceremony, Kardashian shared emotional moments on social media, writing, “I finally graduated law school after six years!” She was supported by her children and sisters, Khloé and Kourtney Kardashian, who expressed their pride in her accomplishments. Mentors, including attorney Jessica Jackson, praised Kim's 5,184 hours of legal study while balancing motherhood and her media empire.
CNN political commentator Van Jones also delivered a speech honoring her dedication to justice reform. Kardashian previously passed the “baby bar” exam in 2021 on her fourth attempt and took the MPRE (Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam) in March 2025, a required step before sitting for the California Bar Exam.
Despite not holding a college degree, Kardashian has been involved in criminal justice reform and has helped reduce sentences for multiple inmates. She began this legal path to follow in the footsteps of her late father, attorney Robert Kardashian Sr.
Her next milestone will be preparing for the California Bar Exam, inching closer to officially becoming a licensed attorney.
