JoJo Siwa and Chris Hughes have reignited dating rumors with intimate new photos shared on Instagram from their recent trip to Mexico.
The two became close during their time on Celebrity Big Brother UK and have been fueling speculation ever since.
Chris Hughes, a former Love Island UK contestant, posted a photo carousel on Tuesday, showing him and the pop star snuggling and smiling together. “The previous 7 days have been the prettiest,” he wrote. JoJo Siwa replied in the comments, “& happiest :). Heart is overflowing.”
Photos showed Siwa resting her head on Hughes’ shoulder and the pair hugging on a couch, leading fans to suspect a “hard launch” of a romantic relationship. One fan commented, “If you guys come out and say you’re still just friends after this, my heart is gonna break.”
The buzz intensified after Siwa gave Hughes a shout-out during her Mexico City concert performance of “Bette Davis Eyes” and was later seen cozying up to him on the set of Access Daily.
Despite the photos and PDA, Siwa, 22, recently insisted the two share a “genuine friendship.” She told Us Weekly that they have a “special bond” and send each other dancing videos regularly.
Their connection began on Celebrity Big Brother UK, where Siwa also made headlines by clarifying she now identifies as queer rather than lesbian. Shortly after, her ex Kath Ebbs confirmed their split, while Siwa and Hughes were spotted together at a UK country club.
For now, fans remain divided on whether it’s love or just a deep friendship.
