Dengue Update: 12 new cases reported in the city

Eighteen new cases of dengue were reported across Sindh on Saturday out of which 12 cases were from Karachi.

KARACHI: Eighteen new cases of dengue were reported across Sindh on Saturday out of which 12 cases were from Karachi. Of the remaining cases, there were two each from Larkana and Tando Allahyar and one each from Ghotki and Sanghar. The total number of dengue patients for the year now stands at 269. On September 20 last year the total number of cases stood at 345. So far the year 2006 witnessed one of the highest number of dengue cases with the dengue surveillance cell reporting 4,561 cases and 12 fatalities.
