Suspected police informant killed by criminals

A young man was shot dead in the Yaray Wali area in Alipur Tehsil, allegedly over suspicion of being a police informant.

According to the police, the suspect Shahid Kumhar, along with an accomplice, opened fire on Nadeem Kumhar, killing him on the spot before fleeing from the scene.

Initial investigations suggest the assailants believed that Nadeem had informed the police about their associates Shaukat and Zafar Kumhar who had been killed in an encounter in Karachi.

The deceased were reportedly wanted in several criminal cases.

The Seetpur police have registered a case and initiated a search operation to apprehend the suspected murderers. The SHO expressed confidence that they would be arrested soon.

Meanwhile, the district police apprehended three proclaimed offenders (POs) and recovered Rs500,000 from their possession.

Police teams raided various areas and arrested the men.
