LAHORE: A man with a deep gash in his throat and stuffed inside a sack was found at the side of the road in Lytton Road Police jurisdiction on Saturday. The man, said to be around 25, was found with hands and feet tied in the bushes near Lucky Centre at Qurtaba Chowk in the evening, according to a call made to Rescue 1122. A 1122 ambulance shifted him to Services Hospital at 6:50pm. Doctors operated on him late night. DSP Malik Muhammad Hussain said the man had not been identified. He was carrying nothing in his pockets and had no other visible wounds, he said. “He was still alive because his jugular vein hadn’t been cut,” said the DSP, adding that it appeared a case of attempted murder.  He said that the sack carrying the man had been dumped in an empty plot off Service Road. The man made some noise, catching the attention of passers-by.
