Stray Bullet: Woman killed by firing at wedding

A woman was killed due to firing in a wedding function in the Sadar police station precincts on Saturday. Ibn-e-Maryam Colony resident Nadeem Masih started aerial firing during his brother Shehzad Masih’s wedding, on the Rashm-e-Hina function. As a result of the firing, a stray bullet hit a wedding guest Chaman Zar Colony resident Rani Masih. Rani died on the spot and police officials have taken the body into custody and sent the body for a post mortem. Police have registered a case under section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) against Nadeem and Shehzad Masih.
