Outdated power plants' auction on May 19

On the directives of PM Shehbaz Sharif, the process of selling outdated, non-operational, and unusable power plants of the four state-owned power generation companies has begun through auction.

The auction will be held on May 19 at the GENCO Holding Company office in Islamabad from 9am to 5pm. Officials have assured that the process will be transparent and impartial. Representatives from all four public sector power generation companies will attend.

Stakeholders and media have been specially invited to ensure transparency. The move reflects the government's commitment to reforms in the power sector and transparent privatization.
