Cabinet unveils reforms initiative

In the 32nd meeting chaired by Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Cabinet approved a sweeping series of reforms and relief measures addressing security, development, transparency, and welfare.

Chief Minister Gandapur opened the session by paying tribute to Pakistan's armed forces for their "heroic response" to Indian aggression, expressing deep admiration for the martyrs and announcing a compensation package of Rs5 million for each fallen soldier and Rs1 million for the injured from K-P.

In a firm stance on governance, Gandapur endorsed the National Accountability Bureau's action in the Kohistan financial irregularities case and committed full provincial cooperation, including the formation of a high-level investigation committee chaired by the Chief Minister himself.

The cabinet also commended successful peace efforts in Kurram district, where nearly 1,000 bunkers were dismantled and over 18,000 rounds of heavy ammunition seized. A Rs100 million patchwork rehabilitation for Thall-Parachinar Road was approved, while beautification projects in urban centers, with over Rs300 million utilized, were reported underway.

Notably, a province-wide Life Insurance Scheme through State Life Corporation was approved, benefiting over 10.5 million families under the Sehat Card Program. The cabinet also extended this flagship healthcare initiative by one year.

Digital advancement was emphasized with the approval of the Digital Payments and FinTech Strategy 2030, aiming to streamline government transactions and ensure financial inclusion.
