Bomb blast hits MNA's home in Bajaur

ISLAMABAD/BANNU:

A bomb exploded at the main gate of the ancestral residence of Member of the National Assembly (MNA) and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister, Mubarak Zeb, in Bajaur district, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

In a statement on his official X account on Wednesday, Zeb said that the blast targeted him and his family, confirming that no one was injured.

He condemned the incident as a cowardly act and stated firmly that no one could demoralize him with these tactics.

"The main gate of my house was blown up with a bomb," he added.

Meanwhile, two terrorists were killed in an intense exchange of fire with law enforcement agencies in the jurisdiction of Police Station Miryan, Bannu. One police officer was also injured during the operation.

According to details, security forces launched a swift operation following intelligence regarding the presence of terrorists in the area. On the instructions of RPO Bannu, a heavy police contingent was dispatched to the scene.
