Man stabs wife to death over dispute

Arsalan kept sending different people to appease and take her back.

A man allegedly stabbed his wife to death following domestic quarrels in the Qureshiabad area on Wednesday.

Dhamial police said that the deceased was the mother of a 12-year-old son.

Muhammad Waris complained to the police that ago, his sister Alishba got married to Arsalan two and a half years ago. Arsalan used to torture Alishba who after getting dejected finally came to parents' house some time ago.

Arsalan kept sending different people to appease and take her back. The complainant also sent Alishba back to her husband's house to settle the sister's house, but still his brother-in-law didn't change his behaviour.

On the day of the incident, Alishba phoned Waris and complained that Arslana is again violent and has not given her food for two days.

The complainant reached his sister's home to find Arsalan at home, was holding a knife in his hand and exchanging arguments with Alishba.

After seeing brother-in-law, Arsalan became furious and attacked Alishba with the knife, striking her repeatedly. The victim fell to the ground with multiple stabbing wounds.

The suspect fled the scene. The injured victim was shifted to a nearby hospital, but succumbed to her injuries. The body was further shifted for a post-mortem examination.
