‘The Office’ spinoff ‘The Paper’ set to premiere on Peacock with Oscar Nunez returning
Peacock has announced that The Paper, a new mockumentary comedy set in the universe of The Office, will premiere in September 2025.
The series follows the original documentary crew from Scranton as they relocate to Toledo, Ohio, where they begin documenting life inside a struggling local newsroom.
Set at The Truth Teller, the fictional paper at the heart of the show, The Paper introduces viewers to a fresh ensemble of characters, with Oscar Nunez reprising his role from The Office. He is joined by Domhnall Gleeson and Sabrina Impacciatore.

Gleeson plays Ned, an eager publisher trying to revive the newspaper’s fortunes, while Impacciatore stars as Esmeralda, one of the staff members trying to navigate the chaos.
Created by Greg Daniels, the mind behind The Office, and co-produced with Michael Koman, the new series is billed as a reflection on the state of local journalism, told with the same offbeat humour that made its predecessor a hit.
During Peacock’s upfront presentation in New York, the cast presented an exclusive preview clip. Gleeson described the show as focusing on “underdog characters that are banding together to keep journalism alive.”
