SICVD inaugurates 29th free chest pain unit
As a part of the institute's initiative to expand free, life-saving emergency cardiac care services across the province, Sindh Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases' (SICVD) has inaugurated its 29th Chest Pain Unit (CPU) in Gulshan-e-Hadeed.
The new CPU in Gulshan-e-Hadeed is equipped with modern diagnostic tools, emergency care facilities, and a trained medical team that remains on duty around the clock to handle all cardiac emergencies, including heart attacks. Patients requiring further treatment are immediately transferred to SICVD's main centers.
The Chest Pain Unit was inaugurated by Mayor of Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab along with Executive Director of SICVD Professor Javed Akbar Sial and Deputy Mayor of Karachi Sulaiman Abdullah Murad. SICVD officials were also present at the inauguration ceremony.
The SICVD Chest Pain Unit program is internationally recognized for its innovative and effective emergency care model.
