BTS’ Jin has teamed up with Tom Cruise for a special episode of his solo variety show Run Jin, coinciding with the Hollywood actor’s promotional tour for Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning in Korea.

Cruise recorded a guest segment for the show, marking a rare collaboration between global icons from the music and film industries.

Cruise arrived in Seoul on May 7 accompanied by director Christopher McQuarrie and cast members Hayley Atwell, Simon Pegg, Pom Klementieff, and Greg Tarzan Davis. While the main focus of the visit was promoting the latest instalment of the Mission Impossible franchise, Cruise also took time to participate in the Korean variety series hosted by Jin.

The episode was filmed as part of the promotional build-up to the Korean release of Mission Impossible 8. Fans quickly drew connections between the collaboration and earlier Run Seok Jin segments, especially one titled “Jin Wick,” where the singer displayed action choreography that mirrored classic action film sequences.

Tom Cruise recorded his appearance separately for the show, and the segment is expected to align with the promotional timeline for the film. Meanwhile, director McQuarrie joined filmmaker Choi Dong Hoon for a public Master’s Talk event on Korean cinema.

Scheduled for a Korean release on May 17, Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning continues the franchise’s legacy of high-risk action and global espionage.
